Interactive video

What is it?

Interactive video is a form of digital tool that supports user interaction. Interactive videos provide the viewer the ability to click within the video for a certain action to occur. These clickable areas, or "hotspots," can perform an action when clicked or touched. For example, the video may display additional information, jump to a different part of the video or another video, or may change the storyline.

In the making.

Why would you have it?

Video has always been a linear thing. A viewer can now pause, play, rewind and fast-forward whole segments of the video.

They can choose their own adventure, complete forms, buy products, answer questions – and that’s just the start.

It gives you the power to create unique, exciting video experiences that can attract your audience, explain what you do and give support to your leads, customers or team.

How or where would you use it?

  • Product demonstration
If you’re about to launch a new product and are looking for a way to stand out from the crowd, then a step-by-step interactive tutorial that subtly accentuates your product’s features is a great strategy to try.
  • Recruitment
Company culture is important. It’s important because hiring the wrong person can lead to all kinds of problems, including lost profit and productivity. With interactive video, you can get to know potential employees, before you hire them.
  • Education
Imagine students could choose what they feel is the correct answer in an interactive video. Well, now that is possible. And also fun.
